Job Responsibilities:

  • Organization Name: IOM (International Organization for Migration)
  • To contribute the provision of direct services such as, individual counselling, referred SGBV cases, psychosocial support and group sessions integrated to the general health response in Ukhiya as per IASC guidelines, and apply it in the context of Cox's Bazar
  • To set up an ethic and confidential service and formalize inclusion of IOM levels 3 and 4 services (e.g. psychological first aid, stress counselling, brief therapies, solution focused therapy, trauma focused psychotherapy, EMDR, group IPT) in relevant referral pathways and networks in Ukhiya, customize it to local context and sensitize partners to the service ToRs, modalities of referral and methodologies
  • Work in close collaboration with the health and protection team to ensure ongoing needs of at-risk groups, women and girls are being met in the prevention related activities.
  • Ensure the psychological follow-up of the beneficiaries in regular basis and keep the records up to date on this issue.
  • To provide tailored psychotherapeutic interventions, customize to adults, children, youth, caregivers and families in the main camp sides of Ukhiya
  • To support counselling of complex cases with the MHPSS Project Officer and Senior counsellor
  • To identify qualified staff/volunteers, work together with the rest of the mobile IOM PSS team comprised of counsellors, case workers, facilitators/animators in providing focused non-specialized services for individuals, caregivers and support groups in the Ukhiya district for the Rohingya refugees and host community.
  • . To maintain appropriate records/database of assessments and any clinical/casework undertaken, and collect and collate statistics for analysis and sharing of information for weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and be able to work with Kobo toolbox
  • To proactively assess and analyze the context and propose interventions to enable expansion of both IOM geographic coverage in Ukhiya (Main camp sides) (e.g. psychosocial support in IOM health facilities livelihood interventions for youth and women, Educational Psychology for children etc.)
  • To support the Senior Counsellor in provision of Staff Welfare services to IOM staff in Ukhiya (e.g., conduct service assessments and provide guidance, provide PFA and initial counselling in case of critical incidents and referral to IOM main office, provide sessions to staff on stress and emotions management, healthy coping mechanisms etc.)
  • Conducting group session, awareness sessions and guarantee mainstreaming of MHPSS into the health response.
  • Prepares weekly reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing treatment and results data and trends based on MHPSS tools.
  • Scaling up the presence of MHPSS at health posts/primary health care centers and in other areas.
  • To perform and other duties as may be needed and agreed with the Senior Counsellor and MHPSS coordinator and be able to work independently.
  • Employment Status : Contractual
Educational Requirements: Post-graduate studies in clinical/counselling/developmental/general psychology.
Experience Requirements:
  • 1 to 3 year(s).

Additional Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of previous experiences in clinical psychological and psychotherapeutic interventions in emergencies.
  • At least 1 years of previous experiences in providing services to displaced populations, migrants, refugees or conflict affected populations
  • Significant experience in providing clinical supervision, coaching, and mentoring to national staff and non-specialists
  • Experience in capacity building activities and curriculum development is an advantage
  • Fluency in written and oral English is required.
  • Knowledge of Rohingya and/or one of regional languages an advantage.

Remuneration      
Salary 80000, Hardship Allowance BDT :7000.00
